I predict that "The Next Food Network Star" will be Guy Fieri. He's got it all: cooking chops, restaurant experience (he's a restaurant owner), a bust-through-the-TV personality, and a healthy confidence about what he wants to say.
I wish the Food Network would open up a bulletin board so I can vent about the show with other fans!

I agree with you whole heartedly. I had the opportunity to work with Guy about 4 years ago, when his comcept was solely Johnny Garlic's. The persona represented on TV is the same one that anybody would interact with in person. He is very witty, very knowledgeable, and able to present his ideas in a manner that even novice cooks would understand.

ReplyDeleteI love Guy, too! Why are the judges saying he uses "restaurant talk that the ordinary person wouldn't understand"? Excuse me??? I am very disturbed by their comments! They better keep him in the final two!

ReplyDeleteI think Guy rocks!!! I've already made sure I've voted for him as much as I could so far. I think Reggie is nice, but in a Sunday morning, soft kind of way while Guy would be an excellent lead onto Emeril's live show. Couldn't you see him and Emeril back to back at the nighttime slots? It would be AWESOME!! Although I do believe he could swing by himself too, he's got the personality and knowledge to carry it all the way.
