The Final Four

In the 2006 FIBA World Championships, the final four teams have been determined.

The United States versus Greece. Argentina versus Spain.

The US must play well just to even get into the final. And whoever wins Argentina versus Spain could very well be win the final gold. We'll see. The US game is in the middle of the night. I won't be up watching. But it'll be the first score I look for in the morning. See the comments for the update.

  1. I couldn't believe the result. Once again, the US is shut out of the gold medal match. Greece beat the US, 101-95.

  2. Spain 75, Argentina 74. However, Spain may have lost Pau Gasol, one of their best players.

Argentina and the US will play for the bronze medal, although it may be considered "the other gold medal" match.

Congratulations to Spain and Greece! I shall be rooting for Spain.

  3. The US beat Argentina for the bronze medale. The score was 96-81.

Spain won the FIBA championship over Greece. The score was 70-47. Congratulations Spain!
